Danielle Carragher is an alt-folk musician and conflict transformation facilitator. Her sound is inspired by the Irish traditional melodies she was raised with, her song writing narrative delves into the Celtic mythic imagination. She performs under the moniker of DANI and has been likened to Wallis Bird, John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.
Upon completion of her MSc International Conflict and Cooperation she specialised in the creation of safe spaces for those affected by conflict. Danielle has since completed projects in Palestine, Indonesia and Colombia with sound at the core of each programme.
DANI will be releasing new material in the summer of 2019 based on her collaboration with Indonesian percussionists KunoKini and her work as a writer and composer of the piece ‘The Silver Branch’.
