Danielle Carragher is an alt-folk musician and conflict transformation facilitator. Her sound is inspired by the Irish traditional melodies she was raised with, her song writing style akin to a storytellers narrative. She performs under the moniker of DANI and has been likened to Wallis Bird, John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.
Upon completion of her MSc International Conflict and Cooperation she specialised in the creation of safe spaces for those affected by conflict. Danielle has since completed projects in Palestine, Indonesia and Colombia with sound at the core of the programmes she delivers.
DANI is writing new material and preparing for the festival season with Indonesian percussionists KunoKini.
This website is designed around the three concepts that inform her practice: Listen, Create, Grow.
