It all started when...
I completed my MSc International Conflict and Cooperation (Distinction) and decided to train in facilitation. Rather than taking a theoretical approach I combined my analytical skills and understanding with my music in order to create spaces where people can express themselves.
I have designed and facilitated workshops for various organisations, schools and youth groups, within conflict and post-conflict settings. More specifically I have designed and delivered workshops exploring culture, race, sexuality, gender, identity and religion. I believe that each one of us is creative and has the potential to create something valuable. I specialise in connecting participants to their creative self, through music and creative writing, in order to foster a greater understanding of the world around us and our place in it.
In 2016 I worked in Europe and the Middle East with young refugees and asylum seekers using music as a form of expression to create safe spaces. You can find out more about this here. Since November 2016 my work in Northern Ireland has centred around creating spaces for young people to act as agents of positive change.
In July 2017 I will travel to Indonesia with the British Council to facilitate workshops on creativity and tour with KunoKini. You can follow my journey here.
